For our summer project, Barkley asked the intern team of 11 to create insight based on generation z’s relationship with media.
the ask:
As we dove into our research on Gen Z, we found they have fundamentally changed the ways we receive, process, curate and share information back into the world.
the strategy:
Forget Content. Give Me Substance. Unlike any generation before, Generation Z is distinct in that they’ve never lived without internet access. Since they were born in the midst of the information age, they’ve grown up speaking the language of the internet and learning trades on a whim. Surface-level brands don’t cut it for this audience. They want companies that speak earnestly and honestly, while providing more than just the product.
